Booking Conditions

The hiring contract shall be deemed to be made subject to these conditions of hire.

For bookings made more than 28 days before arrival
a deposit of 25% of the appropriate rental is payable upon booking, the balance being due 28 days before arrival.

For bookings made 28 days or less before arrival
the full amount is payable upon booking.

1. In the event of a cancellation the hirer must advise us immediately, whereupon we will, without prejudice to our right to the balance in full, use our best endeavors to re-let. If re-letting is possible the deposit, less administrative costs, will be returned.

To avoid cancellation losses, we advise hirers to take out holiday cancellation insurance.

2. Pets may be allowed by arrangement and at an extra cost of £10 per animal. Pets should not be left unattended in the cottages. The hirer will be responsible for payment of any damage that is deemed by the owners of the cottage to be caused by the animal.

3. Lettings are normally for a minimum of one week starting at 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival and ending at 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure, Saturday to Saturday. If possible we ask the hirer to ring us on 01449 780076 when they think they are 10 minutes from the cottages as we like to personally greet all our visitors.

4. Electricity and central heating are included in the rental.

5. Bed-linen, towels and tea towels are included in the rental.

6. Baggage is at the hirer’s risk at all times and the owners will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any equipment and/or car and its contents.

7. The hirer is expected to leave the accommodation as found on arrival, and either to replace any losses or breakages or to pay the cost of replacement. The hirer is also liable for the cost of any damage done to the property.

8. The owners of the cottages reserve the right to ask the hirer to leave if they feel the property and/or its contents/other clients are being damaged or unduly disturbed.
